Green Tea Benefits

I found a great article written about green tea’s benefits on “Healthline” a web magazine. The article is evidence-based and the writer is a nutritionist with a Bachelor's degree in medicine. By the way, I wonder if people would think of matcha when they hear “green tea” in the U.S or anywhere outside of Japan. In the U.S matcha is in the healthy food category. I think that that idea of matcha is not so prevalent in Japan. I want Japanese people to know the health benefits of green tea more since the number of people who drink green tea in Japan has been decreasing nowadays. That’s why I translated the summary of this article to Japanese as well....

What is Houjicha?

What Is Houjicha? Houjicha is a traditional Japanese roasted green tea known for its incredible taste. Drinking houjicha tea also has many health benefits, making it a great addition to your everyday diet.  How to Make Houjicha Green Tea Houjicha is a combination of two Japanese words – houji meaning to roast and cha that translates to tea. The brown rice and green tea are served within equal proportion. The most characteristic of Genmaicha (Brown rice tea) is its unique roasted aroma. Our Genmaicha has organic Matcha green tea powder. It has a good combination of sweetness form Matcha and bitterness from Green tea. When comparing Genmaicha (Brown rice tea)  with other teas, the amount of tea leaves used is...

Matcha Tiramisu

Tiramisu is a very simple, easy-to-make dessert. A basic Italian tiramisu recipe has egg yolks but this recipe doesn’t need eggs. Also, add some yogurt to mascarpone cheese so the taste is lighter and healthier than normal tiramisu. I like this balance so much as sometimes tiramisu is too heavy dessert for me.
